The short film, “Miracle at Monto,” tells the story of the closing down of one of the most notorious red-light districts in Europe, thanks to the courage and apostolic zeal of the first Legionaries of Mary. “The Monto” had been operating for over a century in Montgomery Street in Dublin, Ireland. In the early 1920s, Frank Duff and the Legionaries of Mary began to visit the Monto every Friday, risking their lives to give hope to hundreds of young women and help them discover a new way of life. This short film is based on the book Miracles on Tap by Frank Duff, founder of the Legion of Mary.
